テグの飛行機・電車・車：ビークルセットを実際に使ってみたレビュー

Tegu has long been celebrated for its magnetic wooden blocks that blend classic construction with the magic of magnets. Among its most beloved offerings are the vehicle-themed sets – planes, trains, and cars that roll, stack, and transform. In this review, we take a closer look at the Tegu vehicle lineup, examining design, play value, and how these sets fit into a child's developmental journey.

Whether you're shopping for a toddler's first push toy or a big kid's engineering challenge, Tegu's vehicle sets offer something special. We'll break down the key sets, highlight what makes them unique, and help you decide which one deserves a spot in your toy box.

Tegu Vehicle Sets: An Overview

Tegu's vehicle collection is designed to grow with your child. The sets range from simple, chunky pieces for babies and toddlers to more complex builds for older kids. Each set uses Tegu's signature magnetic wooden blocks, which are safe, durable, and satisfying to click together. The magnets are embedded inside the wood, so there are no loose parts – just endless possibilities.

The lineup includes the Magnetic Shape Train, a 9-piece set perfect for little hands, and the Magnetic Racer, a compact 3-piece set ideal for on-the-go fun. For those who love classic vehicles, the 42-Piece Set offers a comprehensive building experience, while the Travel Pals series adds a whimsical touch with animal-themed vehicles.

• All sets are made from sustainable wood and non-toxic, water-based finishes.
• Magnets are safely embedded, making them suitable for ages 6 months and up.
• Sets are designed to be compatible, so you can mix and match for larger builds.

Tegu Magnetic Shape Train: A Toddler Favorite

The Magnetic Shape Train is a standout in the baby and toddler category. This 9-piece set includes a train engine and two cars, each with colorful geometric shapes that can be rearranged. The pieces are large and easy to grip, making it perfect for little ones who are just starting to explore cause and effect.

We love how the train encourages shape recognition and fine motor skills. The magnets provide just the right amount of resistance – not too hard for a toddler to pull apart, but strong enough to hold the train together during play. The wheels roll smoothly on flat surfaces, adding an extra layer of engagement.

• Recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years.
• Includes 9 pieces: engine, two cars, and various shape blocks.
• Great for developing hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

Tegu Magnetic Racer: Compact Fun on the Go

If you're looking for a travel-friendly vehicle set, the Magnetic Racer is a top pick. With just 3 pieces, it's incredibly simple yet surprisingly versatile. The racer features a sleek design that can be transformed into different configurations, offering a quick challenge for older kids while remaining manageable for toddlers.

We tested this set on a recent road trip, and it was a lifesaver. The compact size fits easily into a diaper bag or backpack, and the magnetic pieces stay together during transit. It's also a great introduction to Tegu for families who want to try before committing to a larger set.

• Ideal for ages 6 months and up.
• Only 3 pieces, but offers multiple build possibilities.
• Perfect for travel, restaurants, or waiting rooms.

Tegu 42-Piece Set: The Ultimate Vehicle Builder

For kids who are ready to take their vehicle building to the next level, the 42-Piece Set is a must-have. This classic set includes a variety of blocks, wheels, and axles, allowing children to construct not just planes, trains, and cars, but also cranes, robots, and more. The possibilities are truly endless.

We were impressed by the set's versatility. It's not just about following instructions – kids can let their imagination run wild. The set comes with a booklet of ideas, but we found that our testers quickly moved beyond the suggested builds to create their own unique vehicles. The 42-Piece Set is an excellent investment for families who want a long-lasting toy that will grow with their child.

• Suitable for ages 3 years and up.
• Includes wheels, axles, and a variety of block shapes.
• Encourages open-ended play and problem-solving.

Tegu Travel Pals: Vehicles with Personality

The Travel Pals series adds a delightful twist to the vehicle category. Each set features a charming animal character – like Kitty, Whale, or Hummingbird – mounted on a wheeled base. These sets are designed for on-the-go play, with a convenient carrying pouch that keeps pieces organized.

We particularly enjoyed the Travel Pals - Kitty set, which includes 6 pieces and can be assembled into a cute cat-shaped vehicle. The Hummingbird version offers a more aerodynamic build, while the Whale is perfect for imaginative water-themed adventures. These sets are great for travel and make wonderful gifts.

• Each set includes 6 pieces and a travel pouch.
• Character-themed designs that spark storytelling.
• Ideal for ages 6 months and up.
